These kids are conspiring against me and finding out just how easy I dealt with them before they were bastards #munchkin

Me and the boys played our first game of Small World and it was of epic proportion. Turns out that Chase is a natural board game player and beat Matt by one stinking point.

Fun was had by everyone.

Welcome to 2012 Teamcornell Christmas

xmascard2012-big

Once again we shipped our cards out at the last (probably past) minute. You should get them before christmas, but only just before it. But you can sate your thirst for teamcornell christmas card goodness right here – where you not only get a digital version but also all the behind the scenes magic that goes with a photo shoot. But wait there’s more! You even get a sloppy thrown together review of our year!

This is a complete list of apps I have found to be /not/ trash (on my Nexus 7), and I’ll put an * next to titles I am most sure will entertain little ones. Most of these apps were those I purchased during the $.25 fire sale that happened earlier this year. So none of these are recommended as “worth the price today
And if you don’t know, you can have these apps installed by browsing from your desktop computer on play.google.com and pushing them to a device, it’s lot easier than doing lots of installs through the tablet interface
Tatum’s favorites are:
Dr. Suess books
ABC game that is mostly trash but has a “forming letter” mode that is good
Must have Apps
—————
Nexus 7 camera launcher
Google Sky Map
Google Play Music
Puzzle games
————-
(these are good but they may require skill to enjoy )
Where’s my Perry
Where’s my water?
Cut the Rope
Puffle Launch
Amazing Alex
Cogs
World of Goo
Jenga
Reflex Games:
————-
* Fruit Ninja – very occupying and there are modes that don’t require skill
Dragon Fly (hard for kids but amusing)
Granny Smith
platform games
—————–
Jazz
Ambient/strategy games
————————–
Flight Control
Osmos
Auralux
Game recommendations for older kids (like my age)
Racing:
Reflex Game
Top down tower defense
utility apps:
Field Trip
Sketch Book
Prey Device recovery tool
I have another fairly lame recommendation because I’m not sure you can actually /get/ any of these at the moment.  But you should sign up to get notified about Humble Bundles.  There might be another sale before Christmas
I got that bundle and it has a bunch of extremely good games:
Eufloria
* Crayon Physics Deluxe
Splice
Waking Mars
Superbrothers: Sword and Sworcery EP
