Mariel went back to work today and there were almost no tears. She was tough and held it together but Matt cried like a baby (which may be an incorrect idiom because Tatum has barely cried today).

Mariel and Dexter were in uniform this morning.
Tatum was very happy and had some spaz hands going on she’s still laying here on the bed 20 minutes later talking, laughing and signing.
Matt was tired and very yawny.
Chase didn’t make it up for rollcall and he gets to sleep in.
Subie was scratching at the door this morning and couldn’t wait to sniff the baby’s head – it’s her new thing.
Eddie was down in the kitchen hiding from ‘Charlie the Cat’ because she was embarrassed about being seen so early in the morning before she put her face on.
And Charlie the cat was wondering why we hadn’t let him in the house yet. Which is a curious thing for him to wonder since we haven’t ever let him in – as far as we know. He just showed up at the door when we got back from vacation and has been back almost every day and night to call on the girls.
