Sing Song Saturday
If it Hadn’t Been for Love by the Steel Drivers
This was a tough one to record. There were three other songs I had toyed with the idea of recording. After failing to get the kids involved in this week’s recording I settled on this song and could not for the life of me get it done in one take. It’s such a comfortable old one that I didn’t realize that I never play or sing it correctly once all the way through.
Unfortunately when you put all my songs together I guess I sound like a country music artist. I wish to diversify the representation of my repertoire. Â This latest entry does not help me in that endeavor.
